Dr. Johanne Lévesque, Neuropsychologist, initiated neurofeedback in Quebec in 2002, with support from the Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon, as part of her post-doctorate project carried out at Sainte-Justine Hospital’s research centre. In fact, this project earned her an international award granted by the Foundation for Neurofeedback and Applied Neuroscience, owing to the substantial breakthroughs triggered by this project in the field of neuromodulation. Since then, she has never ceased to perfect her skills and add to her range of services the best innovations available to allow anyone to improve his/her cognitive and motor performance and his/her capacity to manage emotions.
Throughout the years, Dr. Lévesque has built up a team comprising several members of her family (her son Marc-Antoine and her sister-in-law Mélanie) as well as a group of qualified trainers all part of the greater Neurodezign family. This family spirit established by Dr. Lévesque is at the heart of her team’s, and each of her clients’, fundamental values. Dr. Lévesque splits her time between her clinical practice, carrying out her research projects, and conferences. She’s also co-author of three books, two being best-sellers. She holds an American certification in neurofeedback (from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance – BCIA).

Sylvain Guimond is a physical educator, osteopath, and Doctor of sports psychology. A renowned expert and practitioner in posture and sports psychology for over 20 years, he is also founder and president of Biotonix. This internationally famous company earned him a berth as finalist for the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Sylvain has acquired a worldwide reputation as a conference speaker. An author of several best-selling books, he also contributes to the success of several TV programs on the TVA, TQS, V, Radio-Canada and RDS networks.
Sylvain has collaborated on numerous research projects with world-leading scientists. He has been blessed with opportunities to evaluate and treat over 1,000 elite athletes such as Mario Lemieux, Tiger Woods, John Smoltz, Greg Norman and Marc Gagnon. In addition, he has lent his expertise as a consultant to five NHL teams, as well as the NBA and NFL, plus the Montreal Alouettes. He was a guest speaker at the Atlanta Olympic Games, and sports psychology consultant for the Montreal Canadiens. He continues to be involved toward elite athletes.

A former national-caliber tennis player who holds a Master’s Degree cum laude in sports psychology, David has been part of the Neurodezign team since 2008. Throughout his educational and professional journey, David has developed skills in psychology, teaching, kinesiology and sports coaching. He now holds the title of clinical assistant at our Brossard branch. Apart from carrying out neurofeedback training, he works jointly with Dr. Johanne Lévesque to provide follow-up with and monitoring of our clients’ progression. Furthermore, he closely supervises the work of the clinic’s neurofeedback trainer team and handles the sports psychology component with Sylvain Guimond.
His coaching and counselling expertise enables him to adapt and optimize his interventions and training techniques based on clients’ individual needs and thus maximize neurofeedback results. David is very proud and happy to be an integral part of a very human and warm team that wholeheartedly commits to helping others attain their true potential.

Alexandra Boucher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a college-level technical medical diploma specialized in electrophysiology. She has been part of the Neurodezign team since 2012; she began as a neurofeedback trainer, then became an analyst and trainer in the qEEG section.
Throughout her educational and professional journey, Alexandra acquired experience within several teams of physicians and researchers in the fields of cognitive neurosciences in marketing, the psychophysics of perception, major psychiatric disorders, neurological disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, cardiovascular health, and sleep. Currently, she is mostly investing her energies in neuropsychology and broader neurological health.
NEUROFEEDBACK TRAINING TEAM
Our team of neurofeedback trainers is made up of dynamic, passionate professionals, each holding at least a bachelor’s degree in psychology or neuroscience. Most of them are also pursuing graduate studies in one of these fields.
All of our trainers are trained by Dr. Johanne Lévesque, through a program that meets the prerequisites of the international biofeedback and neurofeedback certification (BCIA).
We also place great importance on continuing education, so that our team stays up to date on scientific advances and best clinical practices in neurofeedback and biofeedback.
Beyond technical and clinical skills, we carefully select our trainers for their human qualities. Empathy, listening, energy and rigour are at the heart of our approach and reflect Neurodezign’s values.

Mélanie Veilleux, our Human Resources Manager, has been part of our team from its very beginning, in November, 2002. She first participated in Dr. Lévesque’s post-doctorate research project at Sainte-Justine Hospital’s research centre as a research assistant.
Over the years, she has held all the positions within the firm, including that of trainer. In fact, Mélanie was among the first cohort to attend neurofeedback training classes offered in Quebec that integrally met the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance’ standards. As the years went by, she specialized in the firm’s administrative and human resources aspects. As such, she ensures that the Laval branch’s smooth course of daily business is well-maintained, as well the quality of its services and the satisfaction of its clients.

Marc Antoine Perreault joined the team in 2012 as administrative director. Son of our founder and neuropsychologist, Johanne Lévesque, Marc Antoine has experienced neurofeedback first hand. Seeing the benefits associated with his own training, he chose to put his entrepreneurial skills and drive to work for Neurodezign and the field of neurofeedback.
